i'd take a close look at the front of the jug (right around the exhaust pipe). check the opening above and to the left of the pipe (air flow over the head, under the head cover). if you've got oil there most likely it's the cap seal leak. if not, i'd check/tighten the bolts on the pipe and port (two for the pipe, one recessed under the port). i know it's disappointing to see an oil leak on a 'new' bike but seriously, it's not a show-stopper.
i'm no mechanic but i addressed this problem myself a while back with not too much fuss. i was alarmed at first but as soon as i found the source of the leak and saw that it really wasn't losing a great deal of oil with each ride it just became more of a nuisance. i would highly recommend getting a little grease under the nails and just handling it yourself - sure made me appreciate the machine a bit more. just a suggestion. hope you start enjoying the bike again. t..
